Fabulous stay at Nant Awel

Myself and my family booked to stay at Nant Awel for a week. What a treat! The house is absolutely magnificent and is furnished to an extremely high standard.
You can tell that every aspect of the house has been chosen so carefully, including beautiful artwork on the walls. The owners who I must say went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, they even provided a lovely hamper for our arrival which was a lovely surprise. The house is located in a fantastic location if you want to spend long days on the beach in Abersoch. It's was an unforgettable stay and we can't wait to book again for later on the the year.

Terrible customer service- would not recommend

In May last year me and my family spent nearly £2000 on a holiday home through Abersoch Holiday Homes that was an absolute disaster - we arrived to a huge leak in the kitchen on the Sunday and the emergency contact number didn't answer despite multiple phone calls, texts and voicemails, there was mice in the kitchen which we reported, the children's wooden furniture was broken and unsafe. I complained multiple times at the time and haven't so much been offered any compensation or anything to apologise for our awful experience. Can't believe we wasted all of that huge amount of money - literally day light robbery. Would never use this company again, disgusting customer service.

Nant Awel is the most wonderful home to…

Nant Awel is the most wonderful home to spend a 5star holiday in peace and beautiful comfort. The home is more than adequately equipped and the house itself and the decoration and comforts are stunning. My parents, husband, family dog and I had a wonderful holiday with local walks a plenty, bars and superstore at your doorstep. We could t have asked for more. We would highly recommend and would love to come back.

Enjoyable stay-equipped- good location.

Enjoyed Abersoch. Accommodation was comfortable, clean but basically equipped, which makes a difference especially if you are staying for a longer duration. The upstairs living space and balcony were were comfortable and enjoyed those. Pricey for what we got and out of season. Communication from the letting agent was very good. The location of the property was spot on for all local amenities and facilities.

Beautiful big cottage left very unloved

Beautiful big cottage left very unloved. In need of alot of work and a good clean. On arrival found jacuzzi not working so contacted property manager to be told the part required to fix it should be arriving that day and would be sorted, it never was in the week we were there. Very disappointing as main reason booked this cottage was for the jacuzzi for the non swimmers wanting to use it.Showed pictures of a trampoline and slide in garden which isn't there disappointing for the children when we first got there and they wanted to play on them.Also no games room like it stated either .Cottage very unclean with dust in alot if places . Found mouldy bread in kitchen cupboards and the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced in any accommodation I have stayed in was a USED sanatory towel found in the back of a draw in a bedroom one of my party had put their clothes in and had discovered it when emptying out their clotheson last day....absolutely disgusting to say the least.Had to spend time cleaning out the dryer filters before using it as they were that unclean it was a fire hazard waiting to happen. Had to keep the bifoulding doors in the kitchen closed as one of them was broken and when we opened it , it was extremely hard to close it properly without having to lift it up onto the track. Did attempt to use the hoover they supplied but it too was disgusting and the smell coming from it when turned on was vile, making me want to vomit! The saving grace to this holiday was the weather it was fantastic so used the pool most days but that too needed some attention with loose slabs around the pools edge , had to watch out when walking on them especially with the children.whole place feels very unloved which is ashame because with alot of TLC it could be beautiful and the location and views are breathtaking. How it is now I definitely won't be booking it again. Spend your hard earned money on a holiday you expect to be perfect only to find it a disappointment is not good.

Gorgeous property in a perfect location…

Gorgeous property in a perfect location as was only a short drive from the nearest town and it was in an ideal location for visiting nearby attractions. We stayed here for our honeymoon and was made to feel very welcome. The only niggles we had were that the velux windows need blinds as it was too bright in the morning which disturbed our sleep, and the mattress was too soft as one of us ended up with a bad back as a result. Overall a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend to others wanting a nice relaxing break in North Wales.

Great house very close to Abersoch centre

Had a great week at 8 Tai Dyffryn in Abersoch. Great house really close to the centre of Abersoch but tucked away and very peaceful

Ideal holiday rental for a large family…

Ideal holiday rental for a large family (we were 7 adults and 6 children aged 1-10): close to beaches, close to shops, lots of room inside and out, ample parking, equipped with everything you need.

Fabulous communication from the start & kept us up to date with all info needed.
Abersoch Holiday Homes are my first go to company for our family's annual stay. Easy to book online & nothing too much trouble (or silly questions - I had plenty of those). Very helpful.

Terrible customer service.

We stayed in the property Bryn Melyn in Abersoch and had a whole array of problems with our stay - I flagged this to Abersoch holiday homes and after taking around a month to finally reply, they have said nothing can be done and really have just made excuses on behalf of the owner of the property. Very disappointed after paying such a premium to stay there - we expected much higher standards. Would not use this company again.

I understand that we, as well as the owners were regularly in touch during your stay to try and fix everything which was brought to our attention, including asking the neighbours to be more considerate. Unfortunately other points were not known to us at the time of your stay so we didn't have a chance to rectify those as much as we would have loved to, but will be considered for the future.

Very poor and disapointing customer service

This a copy of the email I sent to Abersoch Holiday Homes. I also sent one before we started our holiday asking if I had all the correct information for our arrival but again no response.

Dear Abersoch Holiday Homes,
This will be the third email I have sent you in 4 days the previous 3 have gone unanswered so I do hope you can respond to this email.
Yesterday and today in desperation I tried contacting you by phone via the number on the website. It took 25 minutes to get through to someone yesterday afternoon, but this was to an office in England, Norfolk I think. The person I spoke to gave me the number for the office in Abersoch which they said, and it also says on the website is open till 6 p.m. Unfortunately, when I called at 5:25 I got a recorded message, and the office was closed.
I managed to speak to someone this morning, but the signal was weak, and the calls kept cutting off without a satisfactory conclusion to our situation.
The person I spoke with offered an apology for the 3:1/2 wait to get into the property on Friday evening which was a very distressing time. What concerns me is that we had no emergency number to call or had any way of getting in touch with Abersoch Holiday Homes. I did receive" a text on the 18 March with the key code and a message stating further information is available in your online account and in your email box the day before your start date. No such information was received, and no information was available in my online account. I checked my emails on Friday when we were locked out of the property and again today including my junk box and there are no emails from Abersoch Holiday Homes or two text messages informing me of arrival and departure times and one with the key code that only opened the front door but not one for the door that allowed to enter the house.
The situation is proving to be very unsatisfactory, time consuming, and stressful.
Can I suggest that the level of customer service that is being provided needs urgent attention if customer satisfaction is to be deemed satisfactory and

I am not sure where the problem lies - is there enough staff to deal with customers concerns and the ability to respond to emails in a timely manner and to get through on the phone to someone in less than 25 minutes or the office hours to be open during the hours stated on the website.
The fact that we were unable to get into the property for three and a half hours with two small children in toe in heavy rain.
The lack of hot water we have had since Friday evening is still unsolved despite raising this in my first email and the refund owed me from last year still has not been processed. It a small amount and not of great value but I was hoping to donate it to the funds of St Pedro church in Llanbedrog to restore the windows. This is just another example of the poor level of customer service we have received.
I went on a couple of review sites today and it seems It looks like I am not the only customer who is concerned about the level of service received from Abersoch Holiday Homes if you look on Trustpilot even the people next door to the property we are renting have also told us of the problems their daughter and family are having with their booking on the Warren which they booked through Abersoch Holiday Homes.

I would like you to carefully review my comments and observations and respond to this email.

As of today, I have still not had a response.
However, I did get a "We hope you had a lovely time" email when we got home, asking if I could spend a few minutes giving them some "feedback as it means a great deal to us".
I only they read and replied to emails

Abersoch Holiday Homes have recently got back to me after reviewing the emails I sent highlighting my concerns and my feedback. I am pleased to say they have addressed the points I raised and offered a satisfactory refund given the circumstances.
Its a pity we could have resolved this sooner however it has now been satisfactorily resolved so thank you .

Excellent Service

Just booked a fantastic house for a summer holiday in the UK rather than going abroad. It's the first time I have used Abersoch Holiday Homes. I sorted our holiday with Elizabeth Cater who was fantastic and explained everything. The process was smooth and professional. So thanks for sorting!
